  • Job Description

    Group Customer Client & Field Support is responsible for all ad hoc, regular and customized claims reporting needs for Group Insurance clients. Top National Account Clients require specialized attention and upmost service given their complex and unique needs and their sensitivity to our business. The Associate Manager is responsible for ad hoc, regular, and customized reporting needs for select Top National Accounts, including the completion of comprehensive annual claim trend studies and dynamic in-person delivery of those presentations directly to the Clients.

     

    Accountabilities:

     

    Regular Client Reporting:

    • Development of customized regular reporting for new Clients and look for efficiencies in the current suit of reporting.
    • Support the production of analytic items developed for strategic support
    • Assist in the development of integrated Health and GRS reporting

    Ad Hoc Client Reporting:

    • Support ad hoc inquiries by working directly with the field and Head Office staff to:
      -determine data needs and method of calculation
      -data mining and analysis to support the team
      -validate and reconcile results
      -planning/overseeing communication back to the client/field
    • Monitor ad-hoc requests work flow and allocating work to team members with capacity and appropriate skill set 

    Trend Presentations:

    • Support the completion of comprehensive annual claim trend studies
    • Dynamic In-person delivery of the trend studies directly to Clients
    • Development of new and relevant content for each presentation
    • Assist with the development of new claim trend studies

    Request For Proposal Support:

    • Assist in working with the RFP team to help assess reporting requirements, and to help to propose unique reporting solutions for Top National Accounts. 

    Leadership:

    • Support the development and training of staff
    • Review all work completed, manage work load and ensure accuracy.
    • Help foster a customer centric environment 

    Qualifications and Competencies: 

    • Strong computer skills in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a math aptitude.
    • Knowledge of Great-West systems such as BEN, PAS, EAS and DCR; as well as an understanding of Health, Drug and Disability benefits and trends would be an asset.
    • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Strong presentation skills with the ability to tell a story with data/numbers.
    • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
    • Post-Secondary education with a focus in Math/Statistics/Economics or Business (e.g, MBA, CMA, ect).
    • Ability to travel more than 4 times per year
    • Successful candidates will be required to participate in the Federal Government Enhanced Screening Process.
