The Senior Business Compliance Officer (SBCO) provides independent oversight of the regulatory risk management framework within the Strategic Customer Marketing area, while providing expert advice and guidance to assist the business in meeting its regulatory compliance obligations. As an AVP, the successful candidate will be accountable to ensure that regulatory compliance management controls are in place, are adequate and are operating effectively, as well as for providing independent advice and challenge to business area management in respect of material business decisions that include a regulatory risk component. The SBCO reports potential and actual material instances of regulatory risk management framework deficiencies, non compliance, related action plans and material exposures to regulatory compliance risk to the Canadian Chief Compliance Officer.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Strong understanding of digital and technological applications and a broad knowledge of regulations which may apply to these applications.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and partner with business initiative leaders to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met when developing digital and technology solutions.
