  • Job Description

    This role is primarily responsible for our sales suitability and compliance assessment program. The program demonstrates the company's commitment to putting our customers at the centre of what we do and assists in fulfilling the company's obligation to maintain a compliance system regarding advisor compliance and suitability. Carefully designed and well executed programs will result in greater advisor compliance and increased knowledge and awareness of compliance obligations within our Advisor Network.

     

    Accountabilities:

    • Responsible for leadership of a high performing team, including coaching, mentoring and development.
    • Support team members through reviews and escalations in execution of the Sales Suitability and Compliance Assessment program
    • Accountable for successful and timely completion of the Sales Suitability and Compliance Assessment program
    • Responsible for reporting of assessment results, including remediation action plans
    • Continuous development and enhancement of the Sales Suitability and Compliance Assessment program
    • Development and implementation of new assessment components in response to new regulation or other needs
    • Lead liaison with Advisor Network
    • Budget preparation and execution

    Qualifications and Competencies:

    • Post-secondary education in a business-related program.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities gained through direct experience. 
    • Knowledge of insurance products and associated sales processes.
    • Knowledge of the insurance industry and legislative and compliance requirements.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
