    With Customers Being at the Centre of What We Do, this is a great opportunity to join a team that is at the centre of supporting and developing our Group Customer Business Development organization.

     

    The Associate Manager, Business Development Solutions will develop and deliver strategies that drive adoption and use of digital tools, such as Salesforce, within our Business Development sales and service offices across Canada. 

     

    In this role you will work with various partners across Group Customer, Individual Customer and Strategic Customer Marketing to implement digitally enabled solutions, that will foster engagement, streamline processes, enhance our customer value proposition, and drive sales within Business Development. It is a great opportunity for someone who’s innovative and enjoys working through challenges and multiple priorities to get things done. Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations; Winnipeg, MB or London ON.

     

    Accountabilities:

    • Focus on increasing digital enablement through effective and efficient use of technology
    • Provide training and support on digital tools used within Business Development
    • Effectively manage relationships with multiple stakeholders within all levels of the organization
    • Work closely with Digital Services, Group Customer Technology and our Salesforce Centre of Excellence teams on the implementation of digital solutions
    • Act as a subject matter expert in representing the interests of our sales and service teams when consulting with various internal business partners
    • Identify opportunities to introduce and leverage emerging technologies
    • Leverage relationships with field management, staff and head office partners on opportunities, challenges and initiative assessment
    • Research and analyze processes and undertake needs analyses; project management and development of new processes, practices and systems-related enhancements
    • Works as a change ambassador, is people focused and solutions oriented 

    Qualifications and Competencies:

    • 5 to 10 years’ experience in a sales, service or technology environment
    • Strong knowledge of group insurance and/or group retirement a definite asset
    • Demonstrated understanding of digital trends and their ability to enable business productivity 
    • Experience working with Salesforce would be considered a definite asset
    • Experience in training on technology process and practices
    • Effective planning and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to change and perform effectively under pressure
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Proven ability in working with business partners and senior leaders
    • Ability to act in a leadership capacity with respect to advising on technology directions
    • Strong technical aptitude with understanding of the Microsoft office suite, including excel and access
    • Early adopter; keeps on top of emerging digital trends
    • Strong project management skills
    • Conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills – strategic, critical, big picture thinking backed by an added focus on details and tactical implementation
    • Decision-making – demonstrated experience at making good business decisions
