    Digital Talent Acquisition Advisor

     

    This position may be located in Toronto, London or Winnipeg

     

    As Digital Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor you will manage key searches for the recruitment of talent required in our digital labs across Canada. This is a challenging and pivotal role in an area with significant growth plans aligned to our organizational transformation to put the customer at the center of everything we do. This role seeks an individual who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and is invigorated by the chance to participate in building our business from the ground up, defining strategy and optimizing cutting edge methodologies to attract, validate, pipeline and hire exceptional talent.

    • What you do 
    • Leading searches involving a variety of outreach activities that generates exceptional talent (internal/external) through a premium candidate and hiring leader experience
    • Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition Leadership, Digital Transformation and digital lab leadership, in the planning, recruitment and selection of internal / external talent for all Lab roles.
    • A strong knowledge of Digital / Agile talent domains/pools
    • Cultivate and utilize extensive digital referral network to identify 10x talent, converting them from high potential candidate to hire
    • Dedicate extensive growing referral network across the lab employee base, attending industry events, and identifying new talent sources, e.g., meet-ups, campus, hackathons, etc.
    • Turn profile requirements into an effective targeted and proactive sourcing strategy and effective search firm partnerships, direct sourcing, online postings and referrals
    • Researching external digital/agile talent markets and coaching hiring leaders on trends, competitive intelligence and future talent sources and/or restrictions
    • Create enhanced candidate experience (e.g. act as single point of contact for candidates, greet candidates before interviews, determine candidate EVP triggers and position opportunities accordingly, provide feedback to candidate after decisions)
    • Create smooth and effective hiring and onboarding experience throughout all phases of the process such as offer letters, start dates, negotiations, hardware/software, introductions to lab team, etc.
    • Support hiring leaders and interviewers by creating interviewer materials and tools, conduct training sessions for interviewers, refine process and tools based on interviewer feedback
    • Elevate GWL’s online presence for career opportunities through various methods such as job posting ads on career sites and monitoring engagement
    • Ensures all recruitment related activities are compliant with employment standard legislation and that project documents and resources are contained in the file of record upon file closing.
    • Ensure metrics are delivered to efficiently/effectively deliver talent including candidate to hire ratio, time to hire, hiring productive, engaged, retained, diverse talent linked to organizational talent strategy
    • Education & Qualifications
    • University degree, CRHP, Registered Recruiter are assets
    • Experience recruiting in start-up, agency, corporate environments, focused on design, digital and marketing positions
    • Minimum 5+ years recruiting experience, ideally in a combination of agency and corporate settings
    • Strong track record of personal accountability and achievement of targets
    • Passionate about digital world, follower of industry trends with finger on pulse of industry changes
    • Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic team environment, often with little direction
    • High level of entrepreneurship and creativity
    • Burning desire to continuously improve the way we do things
    • A pattern of being a trusted and credible advisor to senior leaders
    • Track record of build pipelines of external talent that fits role profiles and employment brand
    • A skilled negotiator capable of arriving at mutually beneficial solutions with external candidates.
    • Driven to improve the talent bench of the business and acts to ensure that all candidates are a fit with the company employment brand and values, has excellent judgment identifying top talent.
    • Is continuously engaged in the community, building pipelines of talent and acting as an ambassador of the company.
    • Is highly proficient with existing and emerging technology including social media for recruitment and networking purposes
