    Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Customer Service, the Director, Business Relationship Management will act as the primary liaison and point of contact between the Lifeco business aligned technology teams and Shared Enterprise Services (SES) for their catalog of services.  This role represents the quality, utility and cost of SES delivered services and acts as an advocate for both the business units and for SES in technology decisions and service issues.

     

    As part of the Shared Enterprise Services organization, this position supports the delivery of infrastructure services to Canadian business units within Lifeco Canada (Great-West Life, Canada Life, London Life) and selected services for Lifeco’s European operations.

     

    Accountabilities:

    • Facilitate periodic service reviews with business stakeholders focusing on the quality and cost of SES delivered services
    • Act as the default point of contact for Lifeco business aligned technology teams into SES for service concerns
    • Ensure business units are well informed when SES services are implemented or changed
    • Work with business technology stakeholders to validate and prioritize requested service improvements
    • Initiate service improvement plans with service owners and provide regular progress updates to business stakeholders
    • Establish and maintain a service catalog which defines SES services including costs and committed service quality levels
    • Prepare and deliver regular service reporting to business stakeholders
    • Provide guidance to projects delivering new/changed services to ensure sustainable and measurable SLAs and OLAS are defined
    • Maintain close awareness of SES service costs, cost drivers and deviations
    • Facilitate the implementation of service level changes requested by the business  

    Qualifications and Competencies:

    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education) in business and/or technology related fields
    • 10+ years in a senior technology leadership role.
    • 5+ years experience in a technology relationship management or account management position, in a large complex environment.
    • Experience in financial services industry a strong asset.
    • Demonstrated experience leading matrixed, distributed, multi-disciplinary teams
    • Experience establishing best practice service catalogs, SLAs, OLAs and service reporting
