    Great- West Life is growing and currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Management Analyst, located in Toronto, Ontario / London, Ontario.   You will have a track record of eliciting and interpreting business needs and priorities to ensure the delivery of quality solutions providing the highest value to Great-West Life.

     

    Position Overview

     

    As a Senior Business Management Analyst on the Strategy and Planning team, you will work alongside other Digital, Marketing and Customer Experience professionals and with business clients to participate in the design and delivery of solutions that meet business objectives. 

    This role is not a technical analyst role but the incumbent will be responsible for establishing a broad understanding of our operations, and develop at a strategic level, perspectives and solutions to improve our effectiveness. You will leverage your proven track record for explaining a process to both leadership and delivery teams.

      

    Accountabilities:

    • The successful candidate will develop a productive partnership with business leaders, product owners, business stakeholders and serve as a consultant to client teams by evaluating, planning and implementing improvements in business process and practices.
    • Analyze/evaluate existing business processes and indentify process efficiency and effectiveness improvement opportunities such as bottlenecks, risks, duplicate activities and supports process improvement activities.
    • Responsible for analysis, facilitation, reporting and providing recommendations for improving quality, optimizing costs and establishing appropriate process metrics and process controls.
    • Defines, develops and evaluates roadmaps to establish process success.  Works with multiple stakeholders, often with competing/conflicting objectives, to ensure cohesive and reachable measures of success. 
    • Demonstrates strong communication and presentation skills in meetings, facilitated session and senior leadership presentations and builds partnerships based on trust and transparency, with business units to understand and document business needs/requirements.

    Qualifications and Competencies:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience
    • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, partners and other customers, and create engaging presentations (PPT)
    • Strong analytical skills to determine and document functional specifications
    • Strong creative thinking skills to determine unique ways to deliver on unmet customer needs
    • Depth of knowledge on products from multiple lines of business
    • Ability to transform complex tasks into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use processes.
    • Proven interpersonal / teamwork skills on high performing teams
    • Experience working on project teams to analyze business needs, determine detailed business requirements, and assist design, development, and testing of business process
    • Proven ability to learn and handle multiple priorities in a challenging work environment
    • Proven ability to think at an abstract level
