    The Quality Assurance Services team within Canada Technologies for the Lifeco group of companies provides best in practice Quality Assurance Services to our business partners.  These services cover all aspects of testing, including Test Leadership, Performance Testing, automation, accessibility testing, network validation testing, security testing, test data services and test environment services.  


    We currently have an opening for a Test Architect to join our team.


    The incumbent will be providing Architectural Leadership in the areas of Test Infrastructure and support systems, Test Environment and Data Management, Agile and Devops Service, Automation, Performance  Engineering  and Monitoring, and the supporting technology for the definition and delivery of Test Services solutions to meet Business requirements.


    The Test Architect will

    • Engineer and design and quality test systems
    • Develop solutions through the integration of Technologies, Applications and Shared-Services in a multi-company environment
    • Manage test related issues throughout all phases of project delivery
    • Ensure alignment of Business and Technical requirements to the test solution design

    The incumbent will initially focus on the implementation the Test Data Management, Performance, Monitoring and Automation strategy and Roadmap. He/she will conduct analysis and make recommendations for frameworks and approaches optimized for the Canada Technology.

    The candidate will have a demonstrated record of setting up Test Data service, Performance Engineering and Automation.



    • At least 15 years practical experience in the Information Technology field, with minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in TDM Strategy implementation, Performance Engineering, Monitoring, Automation and test infrastructure.
    • Deep understanding of the Performance Engineering discipline and supporting monitoring approaches
    • Understanding of db testing methodologies
    • Experience working with Jira and Agile tools
    • Demonstrated effectiveness in the delivery of test data service including:
    • Ensured correct, secure and sufficient data was reliably available to execute test cycles across the organization
    • Managed the test data lifecycle from data identification, acquisition, masking, creation, maintenance, and destruction or retirement
    • Delivered the capability to profile data, enhance and standardize masking protocols for increased security
    • Delivered capability for synthetic data generation as needed
    • Enabled teams to obtain test data to increase velocity, reduce testing costs, lower cost of ownership for test data and support Agile approaches
    • Extensive experience working with databases and tools, both relational and hierarchical
    • Deep knowledge of software testing practices, automated testing and software development
    • Advanced skills including analysis/problem solving, communication, teamwork, and initiative
    • A career that demonstrates continuous learning as processes, tools and techniques have evolved and been applied to new technologies
    • A deep understanding and experience using Software Development Lifecycle methodology and tools including Agile
    • Post-secondary degree in computer science or similar desirable
