    What we’re building:

    Global Corporate Technology is adopting industry best practices through the implementation of cloud and on-premise business applications. We provide project management services to our business clients for their business process, regulatory change, training delivery, and communication, and other projects. We look for opportunities to standardize on common or shared Global solutions. SAP represents a significant portion of our current technology landscape.

     

    The Technology Delivery team is responsible for the planning and delivery of business and information technology projects for our Canadian and Global corporate business functions, including; Risk, Compliance, Finance, Financial Reporting, Actuarial, Legal, and Taxation.

     

    What you'll do:

    Manage Stakeholder Relationships

    • Identify project stakeholders
    • Capture stakeholder objectives/ priorities, risk tolerance and interests
    • Highlight conflicting stakeholder objectives/ priorities, risk tolerance and interests
    • Take personal responsibility for following through to meet clients needs and expectation

    Develop Project Plans

    • Validate business needs
    • Employ PM planning methods
    • Implement a defined project organization structure
    • Customize planning methods to suit the project
    • Define a project organisation structure

    Leader Project Teams

    • Leverage the strengths of individual team members
    • Customize assignments to fit individual strengths
    • Manage team conflict
    • Improve team efficiencies

    Manage Project Delivery

    • Implement effective processes and procedures to support the management of the project:
      • Risk/Issue Management
      • Decision Management
      • Project Logs
    • Identify variances to plan and manage plan changes
    • Communicate with stakeholders effectively (e.g. status reports, steering committees)

     

    Who you are:

    • You’ll have 3 to 5 years of relevant, related experience
    • You have University or College level education in Project Management, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent education or experience
    • You hold a designation such as CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2 or other PM accreditations, which are a definite asset
    • You rapidly acquire new knowledge, learn new skills, and apply creative thinking to solve problems
    • You can meet deadlines for work through use of time management
    • You self-direct your work through goal setting, time management, and planning
    • You are able to leverage practices to manage and simplify work, and use resources efficiently
    • You ensure accuracy and completeness of work to maximize quality, build credibility, and avoid re-work
    • You consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one, work with data to identify patterns, and use judgment to form conclusions
    • You seek to understand business needs, and deliver high quality service to the business
    • You are passionate about delivering solutions and are learning new ideas within and outside the scope of your role!
    • You’ll have knowledge of project management practices and how to apply it
    • You have successfully delivered several business and/ or technology projects and are ready to take the next step in your career.
    • You have are motivated to learn about the business, their needs, vision, purpose and values.
