    At Great-West Life, our Customers are at the center of what we do. As a Service Support Associate, you will join a team of sales and service staff and will play a critical role in assisting the office with day to day administrative functions.   Your interactions will include internal and external clients.  Specific responsibilities include assistance with document preparation in common office software, database maintenance, and file management support.  This position will also be required to perform routine administrative duties to allow our sales and service teams to be out of the office with clients and Advisors.



    • Key point of contact for business including answering the phone and general email inquiries.
    • Provides mail, fax & courier support for office, along with general office oversight (meeting room prep, ordering supplies, property maintenance requests).
    • Paper flow and new business follow-ups, filing, e-storage.
    • Assistance with special event coordination for team or clients.
    • Support for the leadership team with staff operations related to new hires (scheduling interviews, keys, badges, systems access setup, troubleshooting, workspace set up, etc.)
    • Conducts basic reporting for management and team as required.
    • Build trust relationships with advisors, clients and immediate team members; effectively navigates client concerns as they arise.
    • Preparation of expense reimbursements and invoices related to business operations and staff expenses.
    • Setting up meeting rooms for internal & external client meetings (meeting coordination, room/equipment set-up, catering, etc.)

    Qualifications and Competencies:

    • Solid understanding of the operations of a sales organization
    • Highly adaptable, driven to be your best, and proven initiative.
    • Critical thinking skills with an aptitude for new ways of working
    • Skilled at building strong, collaborative relationships with multiple business partners
    • Exceptional written, verbal and virtual communication skills
    • Possesses the ability to work well within a diverse team environment in addition to working well independently
    • Self-starter who can be nimble and change directions where necessary
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines
    • A combination of post-secondary education and operations or sales support experience within the Financial Services industry would be considered a definite asset
    • In addition to this the successful candidate will be required to successfully complete the Group Life and Health Primer online study course under the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Program.
