  • Job Description

    The Drafting Assistant is responsible for processing simple policy amendments to include such things as Customized Forms, Identification cards and single benefit service contracts.  The Drafting Assistant also provides assistance and support to the Document Analysts in the preparation and production of both new and amended contract and booklet documents.

     

    Accountabilities

    • Respond to any inquiries from the Group Offices relating to subject matter.
    • Process booklet reprints.
    • Terminate document files.
    • Prepare artwork, format text, arrange and co-ordinate the final printing of booklets.
    • Miscellaneous duties include providing copies of contract and filing of contract amendments.

     

    Qualifications and Competencies

    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Ability to work well as part of a team.
    • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, MS Word, Access)
    • Familiar with Desktop Publishing software.
    • Knowledge of Group Insurance would be a definite asset.
    • Ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to change.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills.
    • Ability to manage a variety of tasks according to established priority.
